Ok folks, the only reason I’m posting this 5 star review of Bar Marsh is because I’m leaving this beautiful city after working here 3 weeks. To be honest I was afraid if I told too many people about the Monday night (4-7) prime rib special I would never get in. So, my gift to you! You gotta go to Bar Marsh and have the absolute best prime rib you’ve ever had. On top of that it’s $24.95!! Ok, you can thank me later.

Great place downtown with PARKING for a quick bite to eat and a beer. Stopped in for probably the cheapest burger downtown (during happy hour!). Order at the bar and they bring the food out to you. We chose to sit outside. There are a few tables that were kid friendly. The falafel and burger were well worth the price. I will definitely recommend and be back!

Had a great time at Bar Mash this evening. Wanted a place that had some good food and great whiskey selection. Both bartenders were very friendly, open to give recommendations on pours and bottles. Will definitely be back.

The vibe is right. Cute attentive bartenders. I got food to-go last week and honestly was one of the best meals I’ve had in months. The tea is order a ice cream Sammy if they have them. Live music neighborhood block party vibe on Monday nights. Would recommend. Instagram: @holycityhost

Plenty of parking which is key for downtown. Good vibes and plenty of room inside and outside. I didn’t drink anything tonight so I can’t touch on that. The food was good. They have a meat heavy menu, and don’t have much for those with dietary restrictions (like Gf), which is something I think they could improve on if they wanted. I got the fish tacos and fries (both good). I’d go again, more so to drink and have a small side dish, which I think is the purpose of the bar and they do it well.

I'm going to be honest food and beverages, wasn't my first choice for going there, but I'm glad that I did. It's a nice cozy spot and it's got my kind of bar. Why? Because it has mocktails on it's drink menu. I'm going to give any bar that considers folks, who wants to drinks without the alcohol, but it's not confined to water, soda, or tea. The food isn't really bad either, they were having prime rib for Mondays special. Even though I ordered nachos with black beans and jalapeño peppers (yummy), it was a good thing that I didn't order the prime rib, because they sold out of them (testimony to the goodness). The main reason that I was there for, was the live entertainment which featured, The Psycodelics which was voted for being the best band in South Carolina. Parking is reasonable with decent space but you must pay unless you're validated by the establishment.

Checked out this bar tucked away in the old cigar factory with my friend and we had a marvelous time. Cocktails were yummy, food was priced well and had great portions. Went on a Monday and there was a band jamming, not sure if music is there on other days. Will definitely be returning to try the food specials on diff days. Also, Victor the bartender was so sweet & took real good care of us!! Thank you, Victor 🫶🏾

We love this bar. Sarah and Jimmy are absolutely the best bartenders in all of Charleston. We’ve lived here 10 years and we bring everyone here and we are here multiple nights a week. The vibe is just right. The food and drink specials are top notch. They have trivia and live music and bocci ball and shuffle board. Literally anything your hearts desires. We love it here and you will too!

We came for the Christmas Pop Up and it did not disappoint! They carded at the door, so be ready with your id (we had to dig). The happy hour menu (4-6pm) was great for food and basic drinks. I had the White Christmas and really enjoyed the blend of flavors and festive white light up ice cube! The rosemary wasn't overpowering! Hubby had Papa Christmas and he really enjoyed it too. There are lots of games available for patrons to play, which was a perk. If you're looking for festive without fighting crazy downtown parking or crowds, this is the place for you!
